Orange Zakynthino 2022

It is produced from the 80 years old self-rooted, prephylloxera vineyard in Kefalonia. It is located in our village Thiramona in a steep slope above the sea in an altitude of 350 meters. The vineyard is privately owned and the vines are formed traditionally into small bushes. The cultivation is organic, not-irrigated and is carried out with great care and manual means. We have chosen this vineyard as the most typical of the variety, with the highest fruit concentration, a result of its great age, low yield and the way it is cultivated.
With careful sorting we use only the best grapes for our wine. Winemaking is done with gentle methods, as naturally as possible, allowing the terroir  and the variety to express their own personality. We have chosen not to use clarifiers and filters, in order to better preserve the authentic character of our wine. The sulfites of the final wine are extremely limited, always aiming to produce high quality output.
Its strong alcohol combined with its high acidity, rich taste and intense tannins give it a definitely different explosive taste, with a strong personality and great aging potential.
